Q1. How long does a transfer outside Saudi Arabia take?
Your transfer is normally with the beneficiary after three business days. Third party transfers are subject to cut-off times, currency value dates and the business hours of the receiving bank.
Q2. Why are some characters that I type being changed?
Transfers made through Sarie (inside Saudi Arabia) and through SWIFT (outside Saudi Arabia) have to conform to certain international standards. For example these services do not accept square brackets in the text. Our systems automatically change these characters so the text is made acceptable to Sarie and to SWIFT. If, for example you type "June 12 & 13 [AM]", we automatically change this to "June 12 + 13 (AM)" so that it can be accepted by the services.
Q3. When I am in USA, I sometimes have transactions rejected. Why?
Our services run 24 hours, 7 days per week. However, we cannot always accept and process transactions that debit your accounts. Our transaction processing system cycles through a small (around 2 hours) window each night (usually between 01:00 am and 03:00 am in Saudi Arabia) where it performs housekeeping tasks. If you are, for example, in San Francisco, you would notice this between 14:00 (2pm) and 16:00 (4pm).
Q4. Which browser should I use?
There are a number of browsers available in the market and all differ in the ways in which they work and in their various safeguards. We chose to support Internet Explorer and FireFox because these are the most widely used and because it allows us to concentrate our efforts in safeguarding your use of the Internet. All browsers and platforms have weaknesses and there is no 100% approach that covers all of these. By concentratingour efforts into the most widely used browser technologies, we can lever the experience of millions of users and thousands of sites and give you a better and more secure service experience.
